The laptops are increasingly popular. But why?

In the Lap of Luxury Laptops are becoming increasingly popular and have evolved to the point that some businessmen and individuals use them as their computer only. Laptops are very popular reason is they are portable, they use much less energy than desktops, and they make less noise. The drawbacks of laptops, however, they are usually slower than desktop models, have fewer graphics, and power of the process is not as robust. As laptops are upgraded, however, many of these differences are not significant enough to be even more noticeable to the average user. Laptops are generally more expensive than desktops, although that may not be the cost for much longer. The price of two is in steady decline, with the price of laptops down faster. From May 2005 Laptops more were sold in the U.S. than desktops. Laptops and desktops are actually quite similar in design, with the same basic software, hardware and operating systems. The fundamental difference between the two is in how these components are installed together. Laptops, of course, of necessity, must have more compact components. Desktop computers have motherboards, hard drives, graphics cards and other hardware components assembled and installed in a large box, commonly referred to as the CPU (central processing unit) or the tower. In a model of desktop keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer and other peripherals are connected to the tower by wire or through the latest technology are connected wirelessly. Each unit or tower has many additional internal space for additional cards, cables and air circulation. A laptop, of course, the weight is considerably smaller and lighter than the smallest tower for a desktop computer. Neither mouse, keyboard or monitors are devices, but rather part of the portable unit itself. There is not much extra space for air circulation or adding cards. Not only must the components are portable compact, but the heat must be considerably lower than that of desktop components, and they must retain powers are much broader. Thus, the additional cost. The processor, also called the microprocessor works with the operating system of the laptop to control the computer. This processor is the brain for laptops. The heat is reduced and power is not consumed as much, but the processor is slower accordingly. Most laptops will run faster and to a voltage that is higher when they run on electricity when they run on batteries. Processors of laptops do not use pins to mount their motherboard, which saves room. Both alternatives are for processors right up to the motherboard for laptop without any socket, or use a micro-FCBGA (Flip Chip Ball Grid Array). This replaces pins with balls. The disadvantage of this, however, is that the owner can not replace or upgrade the processor because it can not be removed from the motherboard. The laptops have slower, hibernation or sleep modes. These reduce processor speed when the laptop is not used. A processor Macintosh effectively prioritize its data to help minimize the drain on the battery. Some laptops use processors made for desktop computers, but are designed to operate at faster clock speeds. Performance is improved in these laptops but they tend to run hotter than other laptops, and battery life is much reduced.
